Teamviewer 4 or 5

Now that Teamviewer 5 is available to download then it is very easy to install this version. However, the commercial license for Hawkstone Design is version 4 and there are no material benefits from using version 5. Teamviewer do not allow Version 4 and Version 5 to mix.  The link below will start TeamViewer 4 with the Hawkstone Design commercial license on your PC.

VCATracer Shape Editor

Version 1.20 also includes a shape editor. An existing shape can have the Nasal, Temporal, Upper or Lower quadrants increased or decreased. Alternatively a correction can be applied to the whole shape. When the shape is saved, it is saved with the original name + "(Copy)".

V087 - As the number ofi users is increasing, it is becoming more important that resources are managed efficiently. One resource that is causing problems is the number of database connections so the program will automatically release the database connection when idle on the main menu for more than 2 minutes. The time out on this form is now increased to 30 minutes.

V088 - Print via PDF added to the view orders page.

FTP

FTP to be set to Active.
There have been some problems with FTP access to the Hawkstone Design web site. The ISP says that access has to be in Active mode so if Passive is ticked in a setting then it should be unticked. This also applies to the VCATracer program but this should be set to use the PHP Script that has been developed as a replacement for FTP.

Other programs are being rewritten to replace FTP access where possible.

When signing in as "Admin" user then there is a button to show a statistics screen. This shows orders by hour, orders per day, orders per customer, number of lenses by name, type, design

Solenzara V085

V084 - time out redesigned so that order input returns to main menu after a few minutes and saves current input in drafts. The main menu closes "gracefully" after 10 minutes of inactivity.

Now allows \ & ? / etc in the reference but the reference still has to be unique.

The VCATracer program now requires a daily control shape to be run. This control shape is also uploaded to the web site so that the lab can check that the tracer is being correctly maintained.

When the program starts for the first time on that day, then the user is asked to trace the control shape. This should be the calibration jog if it is available and if not then it should be a sturdy frame.

The processing of the Inbox has been improved so as to automate and to better select the expected lenses and treatments.

There have been more updates to this program so that it communicates with Web services and there is improved linkage with Essilor including presize data.

XFRPrinter

A new program has been released to Print XFR files.

This program uses "Layout Manager" program to visually design the print out. The layout manager program will be used for all forthcoming print program so that you are in control of all the print outs made.

If you are using program PrintXFR from another source then please contact for advice on how to upgrade.

Two quick updates.

V71 - order numbers in v70 are now prefixed with zeros, this caused the tracking for older orders to be misplaced. A quick fix to handle this. No treatment button remains active until all treatments have been chosen.

V72 - Added first draft of Optisoft catalogue and feedback from Optinet / Essilor

The program has been updated so that orders more than 3 months old are removed.

The tracking has been updated, there was a pecularity in that to get the absolute latest, you do not need to go into Job Status, Exit and Back in again. Now it is updated once you enter Job Status.

Outside Range Checking. There is now an option to check the range but to allow through with a warning (confirmed by customer) if outside the range.

V065 new features - preview

New features in V065.



After a little break, it is back to the development.




Shapes. As well as the standard shapes 1-8, there is option for the input of user defined shape. This is in preparation for users to be able to digitize their own shapes but it is also useful for when there is a shape in an electronic file.



Electronic file.


The Inbox folder has been rewritten. This will allow external systems to pass files into the Inbox and then the user can complete the order. In this preview screen, there are a number of files uploaded. The lens and treatment codes /descriptions are shown along with the proposed mapping based on previous usage. The mapping can be done at the user end by downloading the catalogue. There are options for automatic or manual process.







Lens Selection.


Added a warning label if lens selected but treatments have not. There was some confusion as to why the Accept button was not enabled.



Freeform Macros.

A new screen to allow the input of additional freeform questions has been added. The lab can define the additional questions in an updated version of the lab configuration software.



Physical / Optical Dia.

When the ranges were added there was a field for specifying decentration of fitting cross. This leads to calculation of Optical diameter and this is shown in the input screen.

Intelligent Monitoring of RX.
In response to feedback, the method of disabling / enabling the axis when a cyl is present has been changed.

Fix stange quirk in lens selection where if new selected lens had the same number of matching items in the list then the list was not updated on the screen until the mouse was passed over the list - suspect down to Internet Explorer trying to be clever!

A small update but
a) if manufacturer list provided in lens selection then this acts more like a filter on the design rather than working like the other list boxes.
b) tidy up some problems with single eye in calculation of diameter
c) if lens was set to be non-tintable then it was asking for tint to be confirmed - doh!

DBL Validation: Fixed a bug on this.



Copy Last / Repeat Last : A button has been added alongside the reference to allow the last order to repeated.



Configuration: A second screen has been added with more options - (needs a good tidy up at some time) eg disallow Exec on remote edge.



Automatic of + in Rx screen - there has been some feedback that this affects typing in the . in 2.25. It is now configurable so we will see how it goes.



Copying of right diameter to left diameter - remove the annoying error message halfway through.



Minimum Depth on remote edge orders- this can now be set.
